What is recorded

A random visitor code

A random string kept in your browser so replays can be counted together. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number or account.

Your answers

Which option you chose for each question, and how long you took to answer.

The round itself

How many questions were asked, what Remi guessed, whether he got it right, and the song you revealed if you stumped him.

Play number

Whether this was your first game or a replay.

Device category and screen width

Whether you played on a phone, tablet or computer, and how wide the screen was.

Where you arrived from

A source or campaign tag from the link you followed, if there was one.

Anonymous challenge code and generation

A random code from the friend who invited you, so we can count how invitations spread. It identifies a browser, not a person.

Test group tag

Only if you followed a special invite link during testing.

Your rating and optional written note

The 1-5 score you give Remi and, if you choose to write one, a short comment.

Drop-off information

If you leave mid-round, that the round ended early.

Why

What is not collected

No names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, photos, precise location or payment details. The game does not ask you to sign in and does not sell your information.

The records above are not tied to your identity, but they are tied to a random code stored in your browser, so we describe them as pseudonymous rather than perfectly anonymous. If you write a comment that contains personal details, that text is stored as you typed it — so please leave personal details out.

Your browser

The game stores a few small values in your browser: your random visitor code, your challenge code, where you arrived from and how many games you have played. Clearing your browser storage removes them and starts you fresh. There are no advertising trackers.

Reminizzz

Remi: Guess My Song is a separate game. The Reminizzz link is an ordinary external link. The two do not share accounts, sign-ins or data — if you create a Reminizzz account, nothing from this game goes with you, and Reminizzz has its own privacy policy.
